We were designed by our Creator for motion, not just physically but spiritually and emotionally as well. The statement, “Use it or lose it,” is so true. In order for something to work, you have to work it. So what do you need to get in motion?

We all know what’s it’s like when our throats are parched and we feel dehydrated. There is nothing like reaching for a cool drink of fresh water to quench our thirst. Even greater than our physical thirst is our spiritual thirst. God offers us just what we need.

In my word study of agape love today, the Lord arrested my soul and plunged me deeper into the infinite wonder of His love. Lately I have been doing an in depth study of God’s agape love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

God has a lot to say about money in the bible. In fact there are over 2300 versus about it. Why are there two times more scriptures on money than faith and prayer combined? Scripture clearly indicates a connection between a person’s spiritual life and his values concerning money and possessions. What you HONOR is truly at the root of who will be your master.

I was reflecting on all the excitement that used to be generated at a high school pep rally in front of a huge bonfire the night before a big game. I remember how big and hot the fire got. When we are passionate about sharing the love of Jesus and what He is doing in our lives, we become a human bonfire and people will come and watch us burn. If they come close enough, they will catch the fire and burn for Jesus too.

Isn’t it nice to know that God has everything under control so why should we be anxious about anything? He tells us not to be and to keep a thankful heart. Life would be so much more simple if we just took God at His Word. I think having a thankful heart and a trusting heart go hand in hand. When you trust God you don’t have to worry.

The older I get the faster my life seems to be speeding along. There is so much information and so much “STUFF” out there competing for our attention. Oh how I long for the “SIMPLE LIFE” or at least for slowing down. The decision to prioritize is ours. I am coming to the conclusion that “less and slower are better.” I want to focus on simplifying my life by doing what God calls me to do.
